Animation Problems...

In my previous post I talked about using Unity's built-in animation tools, but they have been problematic... |
I was surprised to learn that the recorded animations' positions aren't relative... so, if you move the object to a new position then activate the animation, it moves the object back to its original position where it was recorded! I thought, surely there's a setting or something I've overlooked, but no.
I found a scripted solution to that issue here, but there's another big problem... my game is crashing now... within the Editor and the stand-alone build.... I thought it was related to the new planet shaders, but I removed them and it still crashed, so then I removed the animations, and that seems to have solved the problem...
Long story short, I won't be using Unity's built-in animation tools.
