Getting back to the game... - Posted on: 7/28/2019   [OrbLands]



I took a break from developing this game for several months, but I'm starting to get reacclimated with it since completing Derpy Fishing.

I'm still undecided whether to use the static skies or the animated sky. Both have their pros and cons, which I talked about in a previous post. I'm leaning towards using the static skies, because its much better on performance and there's more variety (50 different skies), whereas the animated sky is the same textures, just different colors.

I haven't completed the remaining objectives for the game because I've failed to think of any creative stories, characters, objectives, etc. But the game is still a enjoyable and beautiful game to experience, so I think I'm going to just wrap it up and call it completed. That is, after I finished some minor things, like tests, performance updates, and cleanup.
