I worked on several more updates for this new game. |
- Researched names for the game.
- Worked on the logo, dialogue banner, and icon.
- Pausing now mutes music and sounds.
- Added gamepad support.
- Reduced game filesize.
The gamepad controls were more difficult to setup than I expected. I had trouble getting both keyboard/gamepad inputs to work together. The jump button is a little sluggish, but overall it's working nicely now.
After building the project, I realized the filesize was really large, so I spent a couple hours clearing out unused assets and configuring the compression settings. It's around 1/4 the size now.
