Underwater Project...

More work on the underwater scene... |
I released the project on patreon! And now I'm trying to add some fish models and scripts.
I'm using a simplified version of Sebastian Lague's "flocking" scripts. I removed the compute shader because its not supported on some platforms, but that obviously reduces performance. So, I also removed the flocking aspects so each fish doesn't have to loop through its neighbors. Then attached mesh colliders to the fish, so the fish simply rely on the script's existing collision detection for walls/objects, to avoid each other. Then, to create the flocking effect, I spawn a group of fish and make them follow one target fish that's not part of the group.
The effect is surprisingly similar to the original and works great for a small number of fish.
