How the ball lies...

I never found a good approach for making the ball look like it is lying beneath the grass, but I just had a simple idea... |
I set the skin and mesh as separate objects, then I just lower the skin's position based on its location/region of the course. So, now the ball looks like its below the grass/sand.

The creation of the first course was mostly improvised. I'm trying to plan the second course better, by starting with an overhead drawing, then I'll use that as a rough template for the course when I paint the textures and heights in Unity. | |
