More work on the racing game... |
I wrote methods for activating the number of computer players, difficulty settings, sensitivity settings, and level loading.
The difficulty setting simply increases the computer player's top speed. The sensitivity value affects the "traction control" and "steering helper" variables for the player controls. It feels decent enough, could probably use more testing and fine tuning though.
I added a race timer and I'm starting to think more about the interface and player preferences. I wasn't planning to have a course mini map, because the first levels were so small, but as the tracks get bigger, it might be appropriate to include a mini map or course overview.
